The Illuminated Score

The flowers of your garden, woven through its music.

The opening of your music, written by hand and framed with flowers pressed from your garden.

Pressed pansies beside a fountain pen on a page of sheet music

Made by the same hands

Only the composer could make it.

Each Illuminated Score is made from a single garden, by a single hand.

Glenda writes the heart of your work by hand: its opening melody, its title, and its dedication to your family. Around the staves she lays flowers gathered from your garden on the day she first walked it, pressed slowly until they are ready.

There is only one in the world, and it belongs to you: your garden, and the first notes of its music, kept together for generations.

How your Illuminated Score is made

From your garden to your hands.

  1. I

    Gathering

On her visit, Glenda gathers flowers and leaves from your garden at their peak: the roses by the terrace, the blossom from the tree that matters most.

  2. II

    Pressing

The flowers are pressed slowly, by hand, the traditional way, until each petal is ready to keep its color and form.

  3. III

    Writing

Glenda writes the opening of your music in ink, by hand, with its title and the dedication to your family.

  4. IV

    Composing the page

Flower by flower, she arranges your garden along the music, so the melody and the blooms seem to grow together.

  5. V

    Framing and presentation

The finished Illuminated Score is framed and presented to you. Many families choose to unveil it at the premiere, in front of their guests.

Where it lives

A garden you can hold onto in every season.

In the heart of your home

Above the piano, in the library, at the top of the stairs: wherever you keep it, it tells the story of your garden and your music to everyone who passes.

For the generations to come

Long after the premiere, the Illuminated Score keeps the garden's flowers and the first notes of its music together, ready to be handed down.

Four splendors, all from one garden

Every one is part of your commission.
